Monday, October 7th 5-8pm: Wine Club Throw Down
You know what time it is…come taste through this month’s wines and pick up your bottles. We’re at peak summer and the wines are all about refreshing and reviving! As always, the Throw Down is open to the public and you’re welcome to taste all 6 wines for $15. If you sign up for the club while you’re here we’ll waive your tasting fee!

Friday, October 18th 6-9pm: Hummus Hang
Our monthly Hummus Hang rides again! Friend and neighbor of Bar Norman, and all around super-human, K-Bar, is back with another delicious evening of their insane hummus, labneh, hand-made breads, and other middle-eastern-by-way-of-Oregon dishes. Drop in for lots of fall-forward wines by the glass and bottle, a la carte hummus-y things, and music, as usual. There’s room, and food, for everyone! Hint: come early, the food sells out! No tickets, just drop in.

Monday, October 21st 6:30pm: Dinner Series at Vivienne
We’re thrilled to announce our newest collaboration with our friends at the lovely Vivienne in northeast Portland. Join us for a three-part dinner series focusing on some pretty fantastic wine and food regions around the world. Dates/regions: 10/21 Puglia, Italy. 11/18 Catalunya, Spain. 12/16 Dalmatian Coast, Croatia. $85 includes a 45-min wine class followed by a family-style dinner…with more wine, and gratuity. Choose one class, two classes, or all three (and bonus, if you sign up for all three, you’ll get $15 gift certificates to both Bar Norman and Vivienne). Tickets here.

Wednesday, October 23rd 6-9pm: Roussillon Night
Now that the days are shorter and it’s dark by 7pm, we’re seriously feeling some fall wines in a real way. So we’re kicking off our autumn tastings with an all-out fête of wines from southern France’s wild, exciting, oft-overlooked Roussillon. We’ll be popping bottles from some of our favorites (think Matassa, Bruno Duchene, Olivier Pithon, Riberach, and more). These are the waxy, aromatic whites and punchy, scrub-brushy reds that dreams are made of. No tickets, just drop in.

Tuesday, October 29th 7-10pm: Nothing Fancy Book Release Party with Alison Roman
Super, super excited to welcome our friend Alison Roman to Portland as she celebrates the release of her newest cookbook, Nothing Fancy. You may know Alison and her first book, Dining In, or perhaps your read her bi-weekly column in the New York Times? Or maybe you’re one of her gazillion followers on Instagram, cooking your way through her recipes and reveling in her hilarious and totally authentic voice? However you know of (or don’t know of?) Alison, this is a party you’ll want to join. This is a strictly ticketed event and tickets are very limited. $65 includes a copy of Nothing Fancy, plenty of food from the book, and your first glass of wine. SOLD OUT (we’re so sorry!).
